Agility Test

Today in period 5 we did a agility test for today's sport. We recorded our time on a google doc on a table, my time was 29 secs 22 milliseconds, we did three different tests, we used cones and tape measures to set up our course for the agility test. We are learning to check our heart rate before doing the agility test, and after doing the agility test. Resting heart rate means when you feel your pulse when resting after doing the agility test.

Bok Choy

From yesterday we did reading I read "Bok Choy" and we have to do questions on the hurumanu site, on the reading slides, I have six questions and I have to make a blog post for those questions, and put the answers in sentences.

1. Describe Jacobs personality.
    Kind, and always a happy person.

2. Why did Jacob run off?
     He was scared because William scoffed at him.

3. How did Jacob feel after he woke up?
    Scared, or confused because he might have thought he might have gotten taken away from his mother.

4. How does the author feel about racism?
    That it is not a nice thing because we are all different to each other. 

5. Predict what will happen if Ah Sum had not seen Jacob in the river.
    Jacob might have drowned if he didn't now how to swim.

6. What does ancestors mean?
     It means grandpa or great grandpa and generations that have passed away, your mums great                         grandpa.

The Creation Of Tuna

Today we read a story called "The Creation Of Tuna," we looked at the pictures on the book and we listened to the audio from the TV from YouTube, after we make a blog post and tell the answers in sentences, the question are on our Hurumanu site, there was a tuna, and the people of the land went fishing, and at the end the people of the land cut of the tunas head and tail and threw it back into the lake.

Answers into sentences:
1. What problem did Tuna o Runga I Te Raki have?
    His problem was that heaven is dry and there is no water there.
2.Vocabulary
   What does Tipua mean?
   Tipua means supernatural.
   What is Hanaki?
   Hinaki is an eel trap to trap the eels.
3.What type of animal is Tuna?
Tuna in English is eel.
4. Compare the art from the book and the art from the video clip, what are the differences?
    I like the book better cause its colourful and the video clip is boring cause, bright colours make me      happy.
5. Which art style did you prefer and why? Give detailed answers.
     Visual arts, because you can make stuff.

KK's Chinese Palace Design

Yesterday we started making our own restaurant because we were having a break from doing the working from home learning site because we have been  doing that for the whole week. So yesterday we started doing our own restaurant, my feelings were very excited because I like doing my own designs and making my own stuff like theme parks on paper. My favourite part was getting to design our own restaurant because it's fun when you get to choose what we get to do, first we choose the serving of what type of food we are going to serve, I choose Chinese because Chinese food has so many options of food, after that we put some pics of the food of what we are going to serve, next we choose what our restaurant is going to be called mine is going to be called "KK's Chinese Palace," then we choose our colours my colours are red white and a light gold, then we choose our fonts using our place name, then we did our moodboard, we put in pics of ideas of what our restaurant will look like, and next we will do our logos for our place. My restaurant is going to be for family's.

Filling In Our Post Cards

In term one we started doing "the book of the road," but from yesterday we started doing our post cards, the reason why we are doing this is because our buddy class St Peters Cambridge, but I didn't get a post card because all of them ran out, so I did my six sentences about my vacation to Fiji 1 or 2 months before lock down, I had fun we went shopping for clothes but mostly I was feeling so hot, Fiji is a nice place but it is a very hot place, as soon as you get out the plane you start sweating! I had fun doing this activity, I used Canva to make it pretty, it was very easy to use.
What was hard: Thinking of what to write for my six word sentence.
What was easy: Creating my Canva to make it look pretty.

The Great Bubble Adventure

Today in Miss Laycock's class we did an activity about our great bubble adventure, we choose two different colour pipe cleaners, after we choose one colour out of the two, then we shared something according to the colour, after that we used our pipe cleaners to make what we shared about and after be blog about it. I choose yellow, yellow is "tell us something about an activity you did in our bubble" I said "I enjoyed doing my school pack I got for learning from home."
What was hard: Making my creation,
What was easy: Sharing what my activity was in lock down.

Yesterday we got a wananga challenge from Miss Laycock, I took a picture of me and my dad cooking lunch today, we had noodles for lunch, it was delicious and easy to make, these weren't any noodles these noodles are Fijian where i'm from. I took the pictures before we put the flavour in and when we did out the flavour in, the flavour is masala AKA Indian spices.

How Covid-19 Level 2 Affects Me

Hello readers, today i'm going to talk about how Covid-19 level 2 affects me so lets start.

For me if we don't go to school i'm its fine for me cause I have my school learning pack and I do everyday so im always busy doing work (if we stay in level 3), but if we do go back to school im also fine with that cause I get to see my friends again and its a better environment for me cause it actually feels like im learning better in my school environment, but still don't touch each other for example don't do handshakes, but you can do just wave at each other. But we will be going to school (if we go to level 2).

Whats hard for me in level 3: I don't like staying in lock down cause we can't really go anywhere.
Whats easy for me in level 3: I get to draw and do some fun stuff like art and crafts and other fun                                                        things.
