The Lack Of Pigeons

Today we started a new book for reading. I read The Lack Of Pigeons, Its about a girl named Meredith and she is a film star, and she is on her way for an audition. Since I have finished reading my book I have ton do questions on our hurumanu site. I have six questions to do, and I have to put the answers into questions.

1. Meredith'’s personality.

     She is happy that she is going to her audition for her character, because it might be 

     her first time doing something like this and she's probably been wanting to do this       for her whole life.

2. Why did Meredith tell people she had an audition?

Because she is probably very excited and she can't control her happiness.

3. How did Meredith's Mum react to news of the audition?

Probably happy for Meredith because she is doing her best.

4. What is the author trying to tell us in this story?

The author is telling us that Meredith wants to become a actor, because it might

be her dream to become famous.

5. Predict what would happen if there really was an audition.

She might have done very well for her first audition, but maybe it might have

been a little bit hard for her first time.

6. What do you think happens at an audition?

An audition is like an interview for your job, for example a movie star.

Learning different types of sentences

Last week Tuesday and Wednesday we learned 3 other types of sentences, the sentences were the w starting, the very short sentence and simple to complex sentences. The w starting sentence is when you have to start your sentence with the w words, where, when, while and whilst, we had to choose one of these w words. The very short sentence is when you have to write a sentence but it has to have less or 5 words. Simple to complex sentence is when your sentence is simple like, "we stood outside for twenty minutes" to "this morning we stood shivering on a snow covered sidewalk in front of the school for twenty misarble minutes, while the fire cheif investigated the cause of the fire alarm." In our simple to complex sentence, we have to add an adjective first, then we add when, where, how and why, but we didn't do why because that would make our story bit to long. we did a lot of writing on our google doc.

Hello readers i'm back with an other blog post about simple to complex sentences, 

Today in hurumanu we did simple to complex sentences, the few reasons why we are doing the simple to complex sentences is because normally we do simple sentences, we have a assessment coming up tomorrow, improve our writing and to make our sentences more interesting, so today we did from "the dog ate" to "the dog ate softly and quickly on the hard floor." How we did our practice, first we started with the simple sentence "the dog ate" then we did adjective, then a when, where, and why.

For the past two days we have been doing a worksheet about what has changed from 1984, in the box at the bottom we drawed\wrote what has changed from 1984. I had to think really hard because I was not even born those days.

Rhyming And Repetition Writing

In writing for literacy we had to write this poem and add a new sentence on.And when we had to think of a word and make as many rhyme as possible but put it into a sentence here is mine.I found hard was trying to come up with as many rhyme words that rhymes with Ox. I found everything easy.

Buddy Writing

For writing 2 weeks we did buddy writing I worked with Carla, we did a story about a girl named "Olivia" she wanted a pet her parents said that she had to take care of it, but she finds a giraffe and decided to keep it, soon later her parents found out that she has a giraffe.

Wanted Poster

Today we watched a short video called Pigeon Impossible. We had four activity create a wanted poster, write another mission for Walter to do and the pigeon spoils it, write a news report about the situation, recreate a comic about the video i`m doing a wanted poster. When we watched the video it was about a mysterious pigeon that got trapped inside the suitcase. Here Is My Work. I wasn't hard at all. It was all easy.

A battle of words-Heather Christie

Today we are doing a blog post about our reading book. We are tring to predict what will happen to the characters. We are using sheets to help us. One is character inference chart, word in investigation chart and I wonder chart. the main characters are P.S McGinnity and C.V Molesworth.
