Countdown Challenge

In Miss Williamson's Maths we have been doing a Countdown Challenge, we have $30 and we have to create a family dinner for our family but we have to put it on our digital Maths book so basically it is fake but fun at the same time, we went on he countdown website and get items for our meal, I am making spaghetti bolognese, I got Spaghetti, Tomato Sauce, Baby Spinach, Colby Cheese, Coke, Meatballs, Crackers, Potatoes and Shredded Chicken. How I am going to make it, first I put the spaghetti in the pot and let it boil for 8-12 minutes and then I take it out and let it sit about 4 minutes, after I put the spaghetti in a pot and add the sauce and a little bit of water, after I cook meatballs, meanwhile I put the cheese on the crackers, then when I'm done the spaghetti I put the meatballs and a little bit of baby spinach potatoes and chicken and then put some coke in cups, enjoy (I DON'T KNOW HOW TO COOK JUST A RANDOM RECIPE I MADE.)

Rounding Up Decimals To The Nearest Tenth

Today in Maths we did rounding up decimals to the nearest tenth, first I thought it was hard but then I started to get the hang of it, but it was kind of easy and fun to do, first we got the sheet and it had the questions like this 68.59=_____________ then we put our answer on the line, then we show Miss Williamson and she checks it and tells us if we need to fix our answers, and then we put it in our Maths book.

What Was Hard: First it was hard,

Ladybird Activity

Today in Maths Miss Williamson's Maths group did an ladybird activity it was like the tea cup one but more easy, I got it on the first try. We have to put each lady bug in each row and column we had 6 ladybugs and 9 squares.

Saucers And Tea Cups

Today for Maths Miss Williamson's Maths group did this tea cup challenge it was hard to figure out. It took me a while to figure out how to do it. But you only have to mix and match it. I was stressing out a bit because it was so hard but I think I got it right.

What was hard: Getting the whole thing right.
What was easy: Nothing really was easy.

Learning How To Use Line Graphs

Today we learnt how to use line graphs, we got a sheet we had to figure out. It is about a rock star and we have to line up the graphs, and make a line graph and the bottom of the page. There are 10 days of the rock star. so we have to line it up from day 1-10.

I noticed that the line graph goes up for 3 days.
I noticed that the line graph day 8-10 goes down.

P.O.T 2 Eye Color

For the past two weeks Miss Williamson's homeroom has been focusing on bar graphs, first week we wrote 5 things, those 5 things were favorite ice cream flavor, favorite bread spreed, eye color, hair color & favorite takeaway, second weeks we tallied up the bar graphs and made a bar graph, about either one of the categories and blog it on our blog.

I noticed there is a lot of people who have brown eyes.
I noticed there is not all of people have other colored eyes.

Maths Activity

Today we did a 100 cube activity, we had to roll 2 dice and answer in multiplication, after we color the squares in the same number as our answer, at the bottom of the page we put our numbers we rolled from the dice, we have 10 places to put our numbers, when we roll our dice we write our equation in our Maths books.

The Seven Stars Of Matariki-Maths

Today we looked at a photo of the 7 stars of Matariki. We talked about polygons. Polygons are shapes. We had to use the positions of the stars to create different shapes.

The most simple polygon I made was Square.
The most complex or differential polygon I made was Hexagon.

Independent work

Oink + Cluck

Today we did an activity called "Oink and Cluck." We had to find out how many different ways to work out how many pigs and chickens there were on the road. My group me Jacobie and Zi'ao we used jelly beans. It was a bit hard but i think we got the hang of it. It was a bit easy but I tried to help Jacobie and Zi'ao. Here is the work we did.
