Why You Should Go To Nga Hau E Wha National Marae

Hello Readers i'm back with an other blog post, today i'm talking about why you should you go to Nga Hau E Wha National Marae, so lets start!
The Nga Hau E Wha National Marae, I have been there before and I LOVED it, it was so fun, I wish I could live there, when I went there it was a whole school trip and we got welcomed in with a haka powhiri, a haka powhiri is when you get welcomed in by Maori its like a short haka or a performance, after that we went in the Marae and for a few minutes we watched a performance retelling one story by Maui, after that we split up boys and girls and the boys played kapa haka games, and the girls learned poi. Why should you go to Nga Hau E Wha National Marae? You should go there because it is a cool place and you can learn about the Maoris culture, learn new things that you didn't know about. When you go there you can also learn the poi (only for the ladies,) and you can play games (only for the men.) Its also a great place for tourists if they want to learn about Maori. You will be welcomed in with the haka powhiri and you will be surprised to see their performances and other things.

The First Day Of School

Hi readers I just felt like blogging so i'm blogging about the first day of school, we started school on the 30 of Jan, but I just felt like writing a blog post.

The first day of school felt nervous because it was a new school, and everyone was bigger than me and I didn't even some of the people there, luckily there was some of my old school friends there. That day it was a half day, I always thought "what if I got lost because it's such a big school since it is a high school." On the first day we made stuff we like to do with clay, I made an artist palette because I like painting and doing crafts. Also we went around the whole school, so basically it was a whole school tour! How did you feel on the first day of school?

Blog Post - The Martian Parts Of The Movie

Mark Watney and A group of astronauts travelled to Mars. Back on Earth the radar caught a storm coming and told the people on Mars to get to the ship, but on the way back to the ship Mark got hit by a satellite and the storm carried on while his crew got back to the ship safely, and took off without him. Few hours after the storm had stopped, all of sudden Mark woke up and found his stomach was hit, by something that looked like a satellite with a hook, Mark went back to his base and gave himself surgery and tried to get something metal out. He survived for nearly 200 days. In those 200 days he made life on Mars, he also blew himself up while he was making his life. He was roaming around Mars and he found some sort of device satellite thing so he can communicate back to Earth. Few days later he got back to Earth safely. Few years later when he was old he started teaching at a university.

{Instead when they are on space missions they call days SOL__}
{When he made life he actually made potato's}

Early Encounters In Aotearoa

Last week on Friday we started Early Encounters In Aotearoa, there were questions about when the Europeans came to NZ when the Maoris were first in NZ, we answered the questions on our sheet and then we have to write a summery, i'm going to write the summery,

Abel Tasman was the first explorer to arrive in NZ, and he arrived in 1642,

James Cook was the next explorer to arrive in NZ, and he arrived in 1769,

Tupaia was the name of the chief navigator helping Captain James Cook,

A Musket is a gun/weapon

Simple to complex sentences

Hello readers i'm back with an other blog post about simple to complex sentences,

Today in hurumanu we did simple to complex sentences, the few reasons why we are doing the simple to complex sentences is because normally we do simple sentences, we have a assessment coming up tomorrow, improve our writing and to make our sentences more interesting, so today we did from "the dog ate" to "the dog ate softly and quickly on the hard floor." How we did our practice, first we started with the simple sentence "the dog ate" then we did adjective, then a when, where, and why.
