Early Encounters In Aotearoa

Last week on Friday we started Early Encounters In Aotearoa, there were questions about when the Europeans came to NZ when the Maoris were first in NZ, we answered the questions on our sheet and then we have to write a summery, i'm going to write the summery,

Abel Tasman was the first explorer to arrive in NZ, and he arrived in 1642,

James Cook was the next explorer to arrive in NZ, and he arrived in 1769,

Tupaia was the name of the chief navigator helping Captain James Cook,

A Musket is a gun/weapon

  1. Hi Riansha
This is a brief, but accurate blog about the Early Encounters in New Zealand. It would be great if you could include an image next time, and a few more facts. I want to see your best work :)
