Taste And Smell
Yesterday we did two experiments. One of the experiments was you get fruit cubes and eat them without smell. The other experiment was to get sugar, salt, baking soda and citrus acid and do the same but put it on the tip of your tongue. My favourite part was doing the second experiment because I got to eat the sugar. My least favourite part was eating random fruits because there were raw potatoes and tasting the baking soda and citrus acid because the baking soda burned my mouth the chilli, and the citrus acid was super sour. Tongues: At the tip of the tongue you taste the sweetness, next to sweet you taste sourness, next to sour you taste saltiness and at the back, you can taste bitter.

Hi Riansha
ReplyDeleteDid you enjoy the taste experiments? Did you know that your tongue had different taste regions before you did the salty/sweet/bitter/sour test?
What else have you learnt recently about taste and smell?
Well done
